These pieces of music are quite different from the originals and definitively have to be known.
Neige Et Noirceur was founded as a solo side by Spiritus, member of the now defunct progressive black metal band Mor Phose, in 2002. Since the band’s demise Neige et Noirceur has become the main focus for Spiritus and is heavily inspired by Quebec’s winter landscapes. The music, if you will, is the audio equivalent of the long dark winter evenings experienced in Quebec, not unlike that of the Scandinavian winter imagery and influence that has been a major driving force in the black metal scene since it’s beginnings. The end result is gloomy distressing music that truly captures the cold stormy essence of black metal composed entirely by Spiritus using guitars, Juno 60 synth, drums voices and howls.
